HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year.

I spent the last week relaxing on the beach, hence the lack of posts.
As most anyone in the casino industry knows (as well as anyone who read my book), New Years is THE BIG NIGHT for casinos, high-stakes gamblers, card-counters and cheaters. Well, even though the strip experienced a bit of a power outage, there was no stop in the cheating action. Several of my former colleagues took advantage of the premier cheating weekend, as I knew they would.

All weekend long, a variety of moves were pulled off. While the pinch move, Savannah, seems to have brought in the most loot during this year’s holiday season, Blackjack pastposts were brought into the rotation. The time honored blackjack pastpost used to hold the status as the fastest and most efficient move in our repertoire, that is until I developed Savannah.

I’ve been regaled with several stories about this new years from friends and former teammates. The best one seems a bit touchy to relay on the blog at present. I am still working out how I might be best able to pass it along to readers without those involved facing any unneccessary attention.

In the meantime, a Japanese television show wants to do a segment about me and my book. I should be filming a piece with them in the next few weeks. My book was just published there, so some tv exposure should help Japanese readers discover my story and promote sales.

Excellent book. I couldn't put in down.

After reading about the success some former teammates had this past weekend, did any of them approach you as you did Joe about royalties? Did they offer to cut you something for inventing Savannah?
