More re: D. B. Cooper Post & Interview

A follow up to the D.B. Cooper post:
I was talking to my father last night. He saw a news report about the Virgin Airways flying casino and quickly made a crack about it. Having read the book and remembering the riverboat escape, he said, "What would you guys have done to escape off the jet, use a parachute???"

On Another Note:
I did an interview that has just been posted on VegasTripping.com "A Sinners Guide to Las Vegas."

The same site also has an article called Cheating Vegas that includes a nice, and accurate, reference to my book as the source for "a full-on expose" of the subject of cheating.

The interview and the entire site are definitely worthwhile reading.

Nice site, and thanks for the links. I got to get back to my Vegas runs...it's been far too long. Last time I was there Paris had just been built. What are the best bets? My old faves were the Golden Nugget and the Horseshoe.

After reading American Roulette (great stories, by the way, richard! Sounds like the tallest tales I've ever heard, but they somehow ring as true as truth. Awesome.), I figured that RFID laced casino chips and casino tables that had RFID reader grids placed under betting areas would effectively put an end to pastposting and even Savannah. And lo and behold, a Google search for "RFID Casino Chips" brings up links like this one: http://www.gamblingmagazine.com/managearticle.asp?C=290&A=13186

Is the cheating community on the lookout for the rollout of such devious devices? I reckon it will take a genius to defeat a system that this theoretically could be.

Name: Richard Marcus

My book, AMERICAN ROULETTE (St. Martin's Press), tells the true story of my twenty-five years as a professional casino cheater. Upon arriving in Las Vegas, in my early twenties, I supported myself solely through legitimate gambling. However, I soon found myself broke and homeless, living under a highway overpass. I eventually sought gainful employment in the only industry I had knowledge of, becoming a Blackjack and Baccarat dealer. Armed with experience on both sides of the tables, my mentor to be, Joe Classon taught the ways of a professional casino cheater. Although retired, I keep up on the various cons and scams that law enforcement is largely unnable to adequately police.
